Self-supporting sand trap Type I according to EN1433. High-quality self-compacting concrete C55/67 with mesh reinforcement. 100% recyclable cast iron and concrete. Resistant to frost, rain, salt, oil, and gasoline, etc. Due to its design, the sand trap has built-in resistance of strength class D, 400 kN. The required resistance is guaranteed by the entire structure. The sand trap has a tongue and groove joint and a recess for a safety joint (SF). For liquid-tight designs, this recess must be sealed. Galvanized steel pins ensure an improved connection and straight-line placement. The top of the sand trap is equipped with integrated edge protection made of galvanized steel, anchored in the concrete. The sand trap complies with European Standard EN1433. Dimensions: length 75 cm; width 26.4 cm; height 60 cm. A knockout with a diameter of 100 mm is provided on three sides. Weight 179 kg.
Pre-assembled BANANE grating made of ductile iron FGS 500-7, length 75 cm. The grating is supplied bolted to the sand trap: twice bolted with stainless steel bolts, the stainless steel bolts being anchored in sleeves connected to the reinforcement. The slots in the grating are banana-shaped and 30 mm wide. The grating features diamond-shaped profiles to increase water retention capacity and prevent slippage. The grating complies with load class D, 400 kN, according to European Standard EN 1433. Absorption area = 810 cm²/m².
The self-supporting sand traps allow installation without a lateral concrete casing (only a foundation is required). Installation instructions are available upon request.
